My Water Care recount

Hook:
Wow I can’t believe that Water Care came to our school.
Our teacher’s  name was  Sarah. Well I guess it is worth it to
have an early lunch.

Orientation:
Sarah taught us about how people used to go to the toilet in
the olden days. In the olden days they would have a pot
(chamber pot) under their bed to go the toilet in. Some men
came to collect it for money and others just threw it outside.
If people stayed in a hotel a chambermaid would come and
collect the waste and throw it into the river on Queens
Street.

After this we did some experiments. The first experiment
was with lightweight rocks. In my group we made four
mountains. We had to make a group guess on how many rivers
would be formed. We guessed four rivers and we were right.
The second one was with water in small containers. We had
containers of water.  Sarah put engine oil, dishwashing liquid,
food scraps, paint and cooking oil to prove how easy it is to
pollute water.

Paragraph 3
She told us about manholes. She also said you should be
careful around them and if you see one open you should tell
your parents. The purpose of the manhole is so that the
workers can clean and fix the pipes.

Conclusion

Although some of the lesson was yuck I had a great time and
I had learnt new things.
